The Ocean Monument-2
Chapter 2
Saskia dove into the great, blue, sea, swimming down into the depths. There it was—the ocean monument. Prismarine blocks made up this structure, changing colour slowly., like a chameleon. Guardians—blue, one-eyed fish with orange spikes—protected this place. Elder guardians—the bigger, more vicious version, could shoot lasers that gave the player mining fatigue. She needed to kill a few of them to get the prismarine shards and crystals necessary to craft sea lanterns. She reached the bottom of the sea just in time, placing down a door, creating an air pocket and allowing her character to breathe. After filling the oxygen gauge, she set off again, swimming at a rapid pace towards the temple. A few more oxygen breaks later, the temple was within sight. Excitement pounded through Saskia's veins, but fear was also here, with a nearly identical power. 'Let's get this task done,' said Saskia as she gritted her teeth. She jumped back into the water, swimming towards the cyan structure. Within seconds, a guardian had spotted her and was swimming towards her. She slashed at it with her sword and the guardian disappeared with a 'POOF'. 'That's one crystal and a shard,' said Saskia as she continued to swim towards the monument. At the entrance to the monument, she placed down a door and let her character breathe. 'I'll go into the main chamber. That's where the elder guardians spawn. I'll kill it and take the sponges as the prize.' She left the door and went upward, searching for the opening to go straight into the treasure chamber.
