They cleared away the brambles the next morning. It took nearly no time at all until they were in the claustrophobia-inducing tunnel. Iris lit her torch and took the lead, keeping the flame as far away from her long strands of hair as possible. They soon reached the ‘gate’: A stone door with ancient writing on it. Luckily, Lindsky was a junior historian, and decoded the message in no time. ‘“Speak the passcode, friend, and enter.”What could that mean?’ muttered Lindsky as she paced around, their only source of light flickering. ‘Let me try,’ said Iris, barging forward. ‘Friend!’ she said loudly to the wall, and the door creaked open. ‘How did you do that?’ asked Lindsky, astounded. ‘Simple,’ said Iris, shrugging.’Speak the passcode“Friend” and enter.’ They proceeded into the chamber beyond.
