The Pendant of the Ages-4

The chamber was dimly lit by a crevasse in the ceiling, from which sunlight was streaming in. On a pedestal in the middle of the room lay the Pendant of the Ages, illuminated by the sunlight pouring in so it looked as if the Pendant itself was glowing. When Lindsky stretched her hand out to grab it, the pedestal sank down and out of her reach. ‘Of course it can’t be easy,’ she muttered as she noticed a message engraved into the wall. “A warm welcome you will not receive, the Emerald Golem always deceives.” Lindsky puzzled over this for a while but couldn’t make heads nor tails of it until a loud mechanical grinding sound reverberated around the room.
