The Pendant of the Ages-5

A hulking creature appeared, originally blending into the walls with its dull, mossy outer shell. Now, the golem’s eyes were open, irises as green as the foliage on the ceiling. It saw Iris first, charging at her, strong, stone arms hammering away. She shoved her torch into a nearby bracket and dodged, drawing her bow. It saw Lindsky and charged again, but Lindsky drew her sword and slashed relentlessly at the golem. Flakes of rock fell from the golem, exposing its emerald insides. At the same time, Iris was firing arrows in quick succession at the golem’s back, chipping away at the stone hull. Lindsky and Iris simultaneously struck the golem’s emerald core, and in an instant, the golem exploded.
