The Wither-5

I immediately felt uneasy. 'How do you know my name?' Cereus smiled. 'You've become quite the celebrity, Miss Hawthorne. Accepting quests here and there... You're the most famous Player, second only to the Ranger himself.' I shivered at the mention of the Ranger. 'Thank you. And please, call me Cindi.' He laughed. 'Alright... Cindi. I saw you come out of the Oaken Bookist yesterday holding a map. Is it another quest?’ 'Yes,' I said tentatively, as I didn't really trust him yet. 'I'm investigating this strange Nether treasure map.' I showed him the map. 'Interesting... ' Cereus's face turned stern. 'Alright, I'm coming with you. Grab some tools and we're going to the Nether!' We picked up some items from his chest– diamond chestplate and leggings, iron boots and a gold helmet, with an iron sword to match. Cereus handed me a bow that was glittering with enchantments. 'Here. My Power II, Infinity I, Flame I, Mending I, Punch II bow. Take it.' I was bewildered. 'Oh, and some arrows too,’ he said as he tossed me a stack of arrows. ‘Why are you giving me these?’ I asked, stunned. ‘I trust you, okay? Let’s just go investigate this map.’ he shrugged. ‘I… thank you,’ I mumbled as Cereus lit the portal. ‘I have a question for you,’ he suddenly said, ‘Why did you shiver when I mentioned the Ranger?’ I sighed. ‘I don’t really like him,’ I said truthfully. ‘He is…overconfident.’ I swear Cereus gave me a sad smile, but a few milliseconds later he was smiling again. ‘Okay. Let’s go to the Nether!’
